Accounting responsibilities will include:  

  • Strong understanding of the G/L (general ledger)
  • Assist with preparing journal entries with back-up support
  • General knowledge of AP/AR/Payroll and Inventory Controls
  • Assist with accounts payable, including processing and filing vendor invoices and cutting checks to vendors
  • Assist with performing monthly account and bank reconciliations
  • Assist with preparing quarterly tax filings
  • Assist with inventory costing
  • Assist with preparation of various monthly financial reports
  • Assist with various projects, including grant research, business licensing filing, and other research projects
  • General knowledge of supply chain management
  • Strong accounting background (at least entering JR year in 2022)
  • Ability to manage secure/confidential information
  • Strong math and spreadsheet skills
  • Understanding of various accounting software packages, QuickBooks preferred
  • Preferred experience booking trucking and basic shipping requirements
  • Preferred knowledge of Shipstation software

Functional and Technical Skills:

  • Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to learn
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred, but not required

 

Experience and Education:

  • Must be currently obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting
  • Must have completed core level accounting courses

Location: Most position duties will be completed at 2603 Duss Avenue, Ambridge, PA 15003 with sales travel and meetings remotely.

Schedule:  Flexible schedule; 10-20 hours per week for 12-16 weeks, with potential option to renew. 

Compensation: $10-$12 per hour
