Project Management / Business Analyst Intern - Civic Champs

Pittsburgh, PA - Internship

Project Management / Business Analyst Intern

Civic Champs is a Benefit Corporation and tech startup that believes people who do good deserve good technology. Our namesake platform is designed to provide the most intuitive and impactful volunteer management software solution for nonprofits. It effectively automates volunteer engagement and communication. We also offer a mentoring platform and app.  Initially started as a pilot project with MENTOR National, the online platform and mobile app pairs opportunity youth (youth aged 16-24 that are disconnected from work and/or school) with mentors who can help them on their path to success. Such guidance can propel them to acquire significantly higher income, greater homeownership and employment rates, and better health outcomes than they otherwise would.

Civic Champs is seeking two Project Management / Business Analyst interns to join in its mentorship app development efforts. We have recently received an award from the R.K. Mellon Social-Impact Investment Pitch Competition to further build the platform and app, and we plan to soon jumpstart a pilot program. The interns will aid in the development of the mentoring app brand as well as the acquisition and retention of organizations who are part of the pilot program. This position reports directly to Geng Wang, our CEO, and will work most closely with Darcy Neureiter, our Head of Marketing, as well as a yet-to-be-filled Mentorship Outreach Coordinator position.

This position will center around our mentoring app business development efforts, with potential duties ranging from creating marketing collateral for a future website to reaching out to potential organizations to encourage them to join the platform. Some hands-on market research (conducting interviews with target customers, for example) and pilot program outreach may also be needed. This position supports our Marketing team and Mentorship Outreach Coordinator.  Responsibilities will be adjusted and tailored to suit the interns’ strengths and interests.
