Work Location: Remote

Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time - MUST BE A PENNSYLVANIA RESIDENT

JuneBrain is recruiting an innovative Software Developer with significant coding and application development experience and a passion for positively impacting patient lives. This individual will need to “hit the ground running” and lead the development of our software pipeline. Benefits include telework and a flexible schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Platform Strategizing

• Work with executive management to develop a strategic roadmap designed to anticipate the software development needs of a rapidly expanding company
• Gain and share insights with the leadership team to continue improving the product and platform
• Identify critical performance features, user experience requirements, cost constraints, and software solutions in the development of our current product

Software Development and Project Management

• Assist in redeveloping/optimizing existing image processing and analysis software built in MATLAB
• Convert existing MATLAB code to C++ and/or Python
• Develop accompanying documentation where needed
• Debug other team members' code
• Work with users to understand design requirements and incorporate user feedback into design revisions
• Define technical requirements and systems architecture with clarity on feasibility, time, cost, and impact

• Strong project management and communication skills
• Ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems
• Bonus: Experience working with retinal image data

Minimum Technical Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical field (graduate students are encouraged to apply)
• Excellent command over:
  • MATLAB programming
  • Object-Oriented Design and Programming (e.g., Python, C++, and C#)
• Strong competency in version control (GitHub or similar)
• Strong competency in fundamental signal and image processing and analysis techniques
