We are seeking a talented Business Development Lead to join the CorePower Magnetics team. CorePower Magnetics is a newly launched magnetic components manufacturer with a broad portfolio of patents in new soft magnetic materials and advanced manufacturing processes. Our technology can have broad implications across grid modernization efforts and electric vehicles and aviation through its smaller, lighter, more efficient components. With the underlying inventions awarded the R&D100 and Carnegie Science Awards in 2019 and significant non-dilutive funding, CorePower Magnetics is bringing to market a step change in magnetic core performance with up to 10x weight reduction, up to 5x volume reduction, and up to 2x loss reduction of engineered magnetic components without the need for rare earth based permanent magnet materials.
The Business Development Lead will play a foundational role in commercializing CorePower's technology through execution of the customer acquisition and retention strategy. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following activities:
- Perform market assessments, develop growth strategies, and support the customer discovery process.
- Serve as a primary face of the company, managing business relationships and partnerships.
- Take a leading role in developing new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships.
- Support development of corporate identity and marketing
- Successfully execute on the strategic customer engagement plan, delivering on relationship development and product introduction
- Support deal structure and pricing with business-value analysis, and negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals.
- Manage both our existing sales pipeline and the development of new business opportunities focused on balancing short, medium, and long term opportunities per the strategy.
Education and Experience
- Candidates are required to have at minimum a bachelor’s degree in business engineering or related field.
- Prior experience within a manufacturing company is required.
- Preferred candidates will have experience in B2B companies with sales or business development in the electrical industry a plus.
- Technical or engineering background is a plus.
- Experience working in a start-up environment is strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year plus a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401k, and more.
